As a cultural anthropologist, my research interests lie in the study of Islam, gender, sexuality, and morality in Indonesia. My current research examines moral education and women's achievement in two Islamic boarding schools for girls in Yogyakarta. I am currently a visiting assistant professor of cultural anthropology at Manhattanville college in Purchase, NY where I teach classes on education, Islam, Southeast Asian studies, and gender.
