Lien-Hang Nguyen, the Dorothy Borg Associate Professor in the History of the United States and East Asia at Columbia University, discusses the global impact of the 1968 Tet battles. Professor Nguyen is currently writing a comprehensive history of the Tet Offensive. She is the author of Hanoi’s War: An International History of the War for Peace in Vietnam (University of North Carolina Press, 2012). She is also the General Editor of the forthcoming Cambridge History of the Vietnam War (3 vols.).
