Politics and Profit in the Fake News Factory: Four Work Models of Political Trolling in the Philippines

This report compares and contrasts the operations and incentive schemes of four disinformation work models: the state-sponsored model, the in-house staff model, the advertising and PR model, and the clickbait model. NYSEAN member Jonathan Corpus Ong and Jason Vincent A. Cabañes writes for NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence’s publications.
