As the Southeast Asian community continues to be targeted for mass deportation, the Northeast Region Pardon Project will launch on December 7th, with the goal of fighting Southeast Asian deportations through the use of pardons. This collaboration between the Asian American Resource Workshop (AARW), Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS), Mekong NYC, Providence Youth Student Movement (PrYSM), the Southeast Asian Defense Project, and VietLead will work with Southeast Asian refugees in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island where there are long-standing Southeast Asian communities.

We will launch this Project through a webinar & community meeting on Saturday, December 7th at 11:00am. Family and folks who are impacted or might be impacted by deportation can RSVP to http://bit.ly/34A0anQ to learn more about state pardons as one of the few avenues that can prevent deportation.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Socheatta Meng at smeng@seadefense.org or Kevin Lam at kevin@aarw.org.
