Have you been searching for time, space, guidance, and support to make headway on a book-length project? Each year AAWW awards the Margins Fellowship to four NYC-based emerging Asian, Muslim, and Arab writers of fiction, creative nonfiction, or poetry. The year-long program includes a $5,000 stipend, a three week-long residency at the Millay Colony for the Arts in upstate New York, a six-month mentorship with an established writer, 24/7 access to the our offices in Chelsea, publication opportunities, and much more! Applications are due on Monday, September 9 at 11:59 p.m.

The Margins Fellowship is open to emerging Asian, Muslim, and Arab creative writers who are age 30 or under and reside in New York City. Fellowship applicants may not be enrolled in any academic, conservatory, college, or degree-granting program during the fellowship term.
