NYSEAN is Hiring!

The New York Southeast Asia Network (NYSEAN) is looking for a Student Communications Coordinator to help with our social media campaigns. Working with NYSEAN's Program Coordinator, the student will assist in the development, design, editing, and circulation of print and web materials that bring public attention to NYSEAN events, programs, research, and publications. The student will create promotional literature and visuals in the form of posters, social media posts, etc. Additional duties include clerical and administrative functions such as photocopying, filing, faxing, scanning documents, and running errands as well as assisting with events. A demonstrated interest in Southeast Asia is helpful but not necessary

The student worker must be able to work at least 5 hours per week. The position is funded through March 31, 2021 and may be extended based upon future funding. The student must have familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Figma/Sketch or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Website Content Writing and Editing (Blogs, E-blasts), Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Hootsuite, Eventbrite), Video (Filming and Editing), and some knowledge of HTML encouraged. A demonstrated interest in Southeast Asia is helpful but not necessary.
