China's Interests in Southeast Asia

This talk by Andrew Scobell looks at why Southeast Asia matters to China for economic and security reasons.  Dr. Scobell will examine China's relations with countries in Southeast Asia and where there are sources of both cooperation and tension.  

Andrew Scobell holds the Bren Chair in Non-Western Strategic Thought at the Marine Corps University’s Krulak Center. He is currently on a leave of absence from the RAND Corporation where he has been a Senior Political Scientist since 2010.
