Safeguarding The Shared Maritime Domain Between Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia

This event report summarizes a limited, online focused group discussion (FGD) organized by the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Indonesia on April 29, 2020. The FGD examined the common maritime security challenges surrounding the shared maritime domain between Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam located at the Southern end of the South China Sea (see map below). About two dozen scholars and analysts from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam participated in the 3-hour FGD (see participant list at the Appendix).
