[Recording] Indonesia’s G20 Presidency and the Ukraine-Russia Conflict

Organizer: The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation

Description:

Join experts from the United States, Indonesia, and Japan to explore Indonesia's current predicament as the incoming President of the 2022 G20 summit. As a non-aligned nation in the Ukraine crisis, Indonesia must decide how to navigate the competing demands of the United States and Russia as it hosts the body's annual summit. We will explore both Indonesia's options for navigating this situation and the possible misunderstandings that the United States and one of its key regional allies, Japan, might make as they attempt to persuade Indonesia to use its role as President to take decisive action in support of Ukraine.
