[Recording] Conflict, Identity and Governance in Muslim Mindanao: The State of Play Before the BARMM Elections

Recorded 12.05.2024

In a discussion on the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Sidney Jones and David Timberman examined the performance of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) as an interim regional government trying to assert Moro autonomy within the confines of the Philippine state and constitution and the lead-up to and consequences of the Supreme Court's bombshell ruling that Sulu province was no longer part of BARMM. The discussion was moderated by NYSEAN co-founder John Gershman.

This event was hosted by NYSEAN and Sulo: The Philippine Studies Initiative at NYU.
