In this paper published by NYSEAN Partner ISEAS-Yusof Ishak InstituteMaria Monica Wihardja and Reza Siregar study the Southeast Asian nations' various demographic typologies especially on the ageing transitions, and document policy recommendations that these economies could adopt by reviewing how East Asian countries navigate their ageing population.

Maria Monica Wihardja is an economist and Visiting Fellow at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore. Reza Siregar is the Head of the Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) Progress Indonesia.
