In this paper published by NYSEAN Partner ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, author Chhay Lim analyzes China's strategy in fostering relationships with Cambodia, by engaging with the ruling elites of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and prioritizing hard infrastructure instead of basic social needs and human development.

Chhay Lim is currently a Japanese Government’s Master Scholar at the Graduate School of International Relations, Ritsumeikan University in Japan.
