Lend a Helping Hand: A Benefit Night to the Victims of Palu and Donggala’s Disaster

  • 5 East 68th Street New York, NY, 10065 United States (map)

On September 28, 2018, a 7.5-magnitude earthquake hit the cities of Palu and Donggala, on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia and shortly after, a tsunami with waves up to 18 feet (5.5 meters) hit the coast. As of today, over 2000 people are dead and dozens are missing. The rescue teams have been working tremendously to help and save more than 1.5 million people affected of which over 600,000 are children. The frightening news is that these teams are still struggling to reach victims in several large coastal towns and this can cause the death toll to rise. Thus, this tragedy has called all Indonesian diaspora in New York to come together and raise funds for the victims of Palu and Donggala disaster.

Please come and join the Indonesian Diaspora Foundation to help our friends in need. We will have both live and silent auctions, spectacular performances and refreshments included with your choice of admission. Our generous donors have provided tangible items, vouchers, and gift certificates, which all will be auctioned and given away as door prizes.

All proceeds will go to the victims.

Purchase tickets here.
