Join the Center for Southeast Asian Studies at Northern Illinois University for a talk by Rahmi Hartati Aoyama, instructor of Bahasa Indonesia at NIU. Rahmi Aoyama’s lecture will discuss the perspectives of Indonesian and Burmese learners of less commonly taught languages (LCTL) on interactive AI-based spoken dialog systems (SDS).

About the speaker:

Rahmi Hartati Aoyama is an instructor in Bahasa Indonesia in the World Languages and Cultures Department at Northern Illinois University. She earned her Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in Educational Media and Technology from Boston University.
