Angela Reyes is Professor of English at Hunter College, and Anthropology at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She works on semiotics, racialization, and coloniality in the U.S. and the Philippines. Her books include: Language, Identity, and Stereotype Among Southeast Asian American Youth: The Other Asian; Beyond Yellow English: Toward a Linguistic Anthropology of Asian Pacific America; Discourse Analysis Beyond the Speech Event; and The Oxford Handbook of Language and Race.
