Chang-Yau Hoon

Chang-Yau Hoon is a Professor at the Institute of Asian Studies, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. He is also Visiting Senior Fellow at ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute and an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia. Prior to UBD, he was an Assistant Professor and Sing Lun Fellow at Singapore Management University, where he convened the International and Asian Studies major and co-founded the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Recognized as an ASEAN expert, Chang-Yau is a frequently invited speaker at international and regional conferences. He sits on the board of three institutions and four international journals. Chang-Yau obtained a double degree in Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours), and a PhD (with Distinction) from the University of Western Australia.
