Jeconiah Dreisbach

Jeconiah Dreisbach is a Filipino sociolinguist and interdisciplinary social scientist. He is a doctoral researcher for the research group Language, Culture, and Identity in the Global Age (IdentiCat) at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in Barcelona. Concurrently, he is a visiting researcher at the Department of International Studies of American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. In the Philippines, he is an Assistant Professorial Lecturer at the Department of Filipino of De La Salle University in Manila, where he teaches interdisciplinary courses in Philippine languages, cultures, and media studies. Jeconiah primarily works within the scopes of the sociolinguistics of migration, family language policy, language contact, and Philippine cultural and media studies.
