Lonán Ó Briain is Professor of Ethnomusicology at the University of Nottingham. His books include Voices of Vietnam: A Century of Radio, Red Music, and Revolution (Oxford 2022), Musical Minorities: The Sounds of Hmong Ethnicity in Northern Vietnam (Oxford 2018) and the co-edited volume, Sound Communities in the Asia Pacific: Music, Media, and Technology (Bloomsbury 2021).
