Md Intekhab Hossain, M.Sc. (Anthropology), Ph.D. (Sociology), is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology, Prabhat Kumar College, Contai, in Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal, India. Dr. Hossain is a former Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at Aliah University, Kolkata. His principal research interests lie in Cultural Identity, Racial, Ethnic Groups, Ethnicity, & Indigenous Peoples Studies; Transnational, International, & Intercultural Communication Studies; Peace and Conflict Studies; Anti-Discrimination, Racism, Violent Ethnic & Religious Conflicts Studies; Gender Inequality, Deprivation, & Seclusion Studies; Human Rights, Social Justice, & Non-Violence Studies; Social Change & Sustainable Development, Action Research, Ecological Balance, Community Revitalization, & Reflective Practice Studies; Cultural Diversity, & Multicultural Understanding; Study of Globalization & Social Dynamics; Global Issues, Global Citizenship, & Civic Responsibility; Cultural Syncretism, Inter-Faith Harmony, & Peace Studies; Study of Sociology, Social & Cultural Anthropology, Social & Cultural Theory; Study of Muslims & Other Minorities among many other topics. Dr. Hossain has published his research papers in various peer-reviewed journals of international repute. Some of his scholarly articles have appeared in Asian Ethnicity, Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, Studies in Interreligious Dialogue, Antrocom Online Journal of Anthropology, Bangladesh e-Journal of Sociology, South Asian Anthropologist, Man in India, and many more. Besides, he has also presented lots of his research papers at many national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops.
