I have lived and worked in Asia for more than 20 years, based in Japan, Thailand and Laos. My current research topics are multilingualism, landscape change and livelihood adaptation, and I am working on documentation of several small minority languages spoken in Laos and Myanmar. My current teaching includes Human Geography and Intercultural Communication.
