Nicole T. Venker

Nicole (she/her) is a human-environment geographer currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at Cornell University. Her research examines connections between resource access, migration, and rural change. Her dissertation research focuses on refugee communities from Burma (Myanmar) located in Upstate New York to understand how experiences of migration and resettlement shape relationships to nature as mediated through encounters with new forms of labor, livelihood, and property.
