Ryan Wolfson-Ford

Ryan Wolfson-Ford is a PhD candidate in history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying modern Lao history with Alfred W. McCoy. His dissertation concerns issues of democracy, modernity, anti-communism, neutralism, and post-colonial nationalism in the Royal Lao Government era (1945-1975). He previously studied pre-modern Lao history and especially palm leaf manuscripts at the National Library of Laos.
