Trung M. Nguyễn (he/she/they) is a Ph.D. Candidate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality at Oregon State University, with minors in Ethnic Studies and Queer Studies. They earned their MAs in Performance Studies and TESOL at New York University and The New School, respectively. Entrenched in interdisciplinarity, their research and arts practices focus on feminist queer and trans studies in Southeast Asia. Their dissertation will explore the indigeneity of Vietnamese marginalized gender subjects in Vietnam through various critical lenses of film studies, postcolonial critiques, and queer theories.
