Center for Empowerment and Resource Development - Philippines

The Center for Empowerment and Resource Development (CERD) seeks to increase the productive capacity and the capability of fishing communities to conserve and control access to the resources of the Hinatuan Bay. CERD uses a fishery integrated resource management for economic development (FIRMED) technique to engage coastal communities in sustainable fisheries management, advocacy, and livelihood development.
