CT1.jpg

Climate Tracker is excited to share a new opportunity for young media personnel in Southeast Asia.

For the next few months, Climate Tracker will be working with journalists from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand to conduct a Southeast Asia-wide study on how the region’s biggest media outlets cover coal. Climate Tracker is currently looking for participants with media experience from Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

If selected, you’ll receive two weeks of cutting-edge training and mentorship, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of media analysis, before leveraging your contacts for a national media analysis. The best students from the course will be selected for a 3 month paid research opportunity to continue the project. The final research and analysis will be published as a co-authored handbook and distributed to leading publications and organizations in Southeast Asia in September.

Applications are due June 11, 2020 before 12:59 PM EST (11:59 PM WIB/Jakarta time).
