This talk engages with articulations of sensuous citizenship formations that emerge from the inter-sensorial dialogue between the distanced senses of sight and sound and the proximal senses of touch, taste, and smell. This mélange of sight, touch, sound, smell, and taste occur along two sensuous registers in Be With Me (Eric Khoo, 2005): the astronomic processes of cooking and the gustatory practices of eating.

Harvey deploys phenomenology to theorize a dominant neoliberal sensorium as well as the counter-sensoria produced by the Singapore filmmakers under review.
