WEBCAST: Bali in the Time of COVID-19: Local Solutions to Global Problems

AKB cover 2.jpeg

One of the most beautiful places in the world, Bali, Indonesia faces major challenges in the time of global pandemic and environmental crisis. International tourism is currently banned in Bali due to COVID-19, creating an economic crisis. Concurrently it has created a 'pause,' a reflection on Bali's cultural resiliency and the development of local solutions based in science and culture.

In this webcast, Asia 21 Young Leaders Gede Robi Navicula and Ewa Wojkowska will join Rachel Cooper to discuss their work and strategies through two campaigns: Apa Kabar Bali, a news program published on social media platforms; and Pulau Plastik, a major behavior change campaign to reduce the use of single-use plastic on the island, and beyond.
