The major geopolitical contest that will shake the world over the next few decades will be the U.S.-China contest. Many countries, including Southeast Asian nations, will be pulled into this competition. Are Southeast Asian nations forced to choose between China and the U.S. on issues such as infrastructure, trade, and security? How should these countries react? What could we expect from the relations of these two economic giants in the future, especially after the U.S. election this November? These questions will be addressed by Prof. Kishore Mahbubani, Distinguished Fellow at the Asia Research Institute and the Founding Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore.
