Organizer: Singapore Unbound/Gaudy Boy

Singapore Unbound/Gaudy Boy will host the book launch of Victor Fernando R. Ocampo’s North American debut, The Infinite Library and Other Stories (October 2021). His book demonstrates why Southeast Asian speculative fiction is a force to be reckoned with. These 18 interconnected stories—described by author Ken Liu as “fantastic and lyrical, like glimpses into the infinite potential of the universe”—reconstruct the layers of a complex Filipino history, identity, and mythology while navigating class, colonialism, and gender with boldly inventive narrative forms, and conjuring new futures for the nation, region, and world. First released in Singapore in 2017 and shortlisted for the 2018 International Rubery Book Award, this new edition includes a never-before-anthologized story.
