UC Berkeley-UCLA Southeast Asia Studies Conference

This conference is designed to explore aspects of group and individual identity in Southeast Asia, examining newly emerging forms of identity as well as long-existing ones that are being reconceptualized or reasserted in new circumstances.

Originally planned to be held at UCLA in April 2020, the conference will now be held online during the week of February 8, 2021. The keynote address by Prof. Ardeth Thawnghmung (University of Massachusetts-Lowell) will be on Tuesday, February 9 at 1:30 p.m.
