n commemoration of the Day of Valor (Araw ng Kagitingan), the Philippine Consulate General in New York invites you to a solemn ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Manila and honoring the courage of Filipino and American soldiers, the innocent lives lost during it, and its survivors who endured its aftermath.

This event includes a talk by Brett Moyer, author of Had MacArthur Not Returned, and a presentation of the U.S. Congressional Gold Medal to World War II veterans.
