CHI P. PHAM is a tenured researcher of the Institute of Literature, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences. She received her first Ph.D. degree in Literary Theory in Vietnam and her second Ph.D. degree in Comparative Literature in the United States. She is currently an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Asian and African Studies, University of Hamburg, Germany. She has published articles in Vietnamese and English on post-colonial literature and nation-building. Her most recent monograph is Literature and Nation-building in Vietnam: The Invisibilization of the Indians. Routledge, 2021. Other selected publications of her include Ecologies in Southeast Asian literatures : histories, myths and societies (Vernon 2019), co-edited with Chitra Sankaran and Gurpreet Kau; and Revenge of Gaia : contemporary Vietnamese ecofiction ( Singapore : Penguin Random House SEA, 2021) ,co-translated and co-written with Chitra Sankaran.
