I am a political analyst and development practitioner with decades of experience addressing the challenges of democracy and good governance in Southeast and South Asia. I have held positions with Freedom House, Management Systems International, the US Agency for International Development (in Washington and Jakarta), the Asia Foundation and the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs. I have published extensively on Philippine politics and and have taught Southeast Asian politics at the Johns Hopkins SAIS, De La Salle University in Manila and Stanford University.
