Pace is a comprehensive university which offers undergraduate degrees in several programs that relate to Southeast Asia: Political Science, Peace and Justice studies, and Global Asian Studies. Partnering with NYSEAN will provide opportunities for our students and faculty to be better connected to events on SEA in the New York area and will allow us to increase our audience for our own campus programs and resources.

SOUTHEAST ASIAN STUDIES AT NEW BOOKS NETWORK
The New Books Network is a consortium of podcasts dedicated to raising the level of public discourse by introducing serious authors to serious audiences. We publish around 60 new interviews a month and serve a large, worldwide audience. The network receives generous support from Amherst College Press.

THE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS LOWELL
The University of Massachusetts Lowell (UML) is located in Lowell, Massachusetts, home to the second-largest Cambodian community in the United States. UML offers several courses in Khmer language and culture and has an active Cambodian American Student Association (CASA) that hosts annual events to promote and raise awareness of Khmer culture. UML also has the Center for Asian American Studies (CAAS), which has hosted conferences and created the Web-based Southeast Asian Digital Archive (SEADA).

WEATHERHEAD EAST ASIAN INSTITUTE AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY
Established in 1949, the Weatherhead East Asian Institute is an interdisciplinary center for research, publishing, and public programs on the countries, peoples, and cultures of East and Southeast Asia. Through its research activities, conferences, and seminars, the Institute creates an international forum on social, economic, political, and security issues facing East Asia.
THE FOREIGN CORRESPONDENTS’ CLUB OF THAILAND
The Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand is one of the oldest and largest foreign press clubs in Asia. Founded in the mid-1950s in Bangkok, the club has a membership of about 600 people spanning media, business and civil society, both foreign and local. As an active forum for open debate, the FCCT remains a meeting place for views across the political spectrum.
MEKONG NYC
Mekong NYC is a social justice organization that brings dignity and value to the lives of Southeast Asians in the Bronx and throughout New York City. We do this through community organizing and movement-building, centering healing through arts and culture, and creating a strong safety net rooted in community power.
THE CENTER FOR KHMER STUDIES
The Center for Khmer Studies (CKS) promotes research, teaching and public service in the social sciences, arts and humanities in Cambodia and the Mekong region.
CKS seeks to promote research and international scholarly exchange by programs that increase understanding of Cambodia and its region, strengthen Cambodia’s cultural and educational structures and integrate Cambodian scholars in regional and international exchange, and promote a vigorous civil society.
PAWIKAN PRESS
Pawikan Press is an independent publishing house that specializes in books about the environment and culture of Mindanao and Palawan in the Philippines. Its first book, The Battle of Marawi by Criselda Yabes, was partly funded by the Guggenheim Foundation and was named a finalist in the journalism category at the 39th National Book Awards in 2022. Its second book, Sa Yakap ng Gubat at Dagat ng Palawan: Mga Ekosanaysay by Dr. John Iremil Teodoro, won the Best in Nonfiction Prose in Filipino at the 40th National Book Awards in 2023. Pawikan Press is open to collaboration with institutions that are interested in promoting Philippine literature to a global audience.

The Inya Institute is a Yangon-based higher learning institute dedicated to advancing the social sciences, arts and humanities as they are related to Myanmar. It is a non-political, non-religious, non-profit and non-degree granting organization. It seeks to build research and intellectual capacity for young local researchers, to foster scholarly exchange between local and international researchers, and to create original scholarship for international and local scholars. It further aims to raise the general public’s understanding of the country’s multi-faceted cultural, ethnic and linguistic legacy.
