Myanmar Crisis with Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun

Join His Excellency Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, to discuss the Myanmar Crisis.

Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun spectacularly broke with Myanmar's military junta at the UN General Assembly on February 26. He issued an emotional plea for help to restore civilian rule and stop the violence, targeting peaceful pro-democracy demonstrators. The next day the junta said the envoy had been sacked, but Kyaw Moe Tun refused to vacate the post. His deputy refused to take the job, deepening the diplomatic crisis.
