The Southeast Asia Climate Outlook 2022 Survey Report is the third annual survey of climate change attitudes and perspectives of Southeast Asia. The survey was designed to analyze  the attitudes and concerns of Southeast Asian citizens towards climate change, governmental policies, actions, and the role of different stakeholders in climate action. This year’s survey also drew views on renewable energy transition, food security, green recovery, as well as regional and international cooperation. This webinar will launch the Report and introduce key findings, accompanied by the insights of three expert discussants versed in regional climate and environment policy.

Speaker:

Mr. Stanley Loh is Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment. He is concurrently Permanent Secretary (Development) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and Second Permanent Secretary (Special Duties) at the Prime Minister's Office.

Discussants:

Dr. Indra Overland is Research Professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI).

Dr. Helena Varkkey is an Associate Professor at the Department of International and Strategic Studies, University of Malaya.

Ms. Johanna Son is the Bangkok-based editor/founder of Reporting ASEAN, an independent series for analyses and conversations with a regional lens.
