The Premier will also elaborate on Sarawak’s ambitious decarbonisation goals and the state’s comprehensive strategy to achieve them. This event offers a valuable opportunity to understand how Sarawak’s journey towards sustainability and carbon neutrality can serve as a model for development in the region and beyond. About the Speakers:
The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg is the sixth Premier of Sarawak. Coming into office in January 2017, currently he also holds the portfolios for Finance and New Economy, Natural Resources and Urban Development and Energy and Environmental Sustainability. Since his first election to Sarawak’s State Legislative Assembly in 1981 the Premier has held various portfolios including industrialisation, tourism and housing.
