Rey Avila Mangarin is a teacher, researcher, and education leader who optimizes research to bring change for an effective workplace. He has participated in several Massive Open Online Courses and led MOOC Camps and learning action cells towards the professional development of his colleagues. He has presented to several international forums on studies involving research-based outputs, approaches, and best practices. Further, he was a former public school teacher in the Department of Education who transferred to Higher Education to teach in the Teacher Education Program. Currently, he handles Mathematics, Research, and Professional Education subjects. He is a graduate of Master of Education major in Teaching Mathematics at The University of Mindanao, Davao City, Philippines. He also completed a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University Australia as CHEd-CMUA Scholar.
