55 Years On: Is ASEAN Still Relevant in the Changing Global Order?

Organizer: The ASEAN Studies Centre at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute

Description:

The ASEAN Studies Centre at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute is pleased to invite you to attend the 37th ASEAN Roundtable on 1 November 2022 (Tuesday).

Taking place in the year of the 55th founding anniversary of ASEAN, the Roundtable will examine the implications of key events in the region, including the Russia – Ukraine war and the growing global bipolarity, the intensification of China-US rivalry in the Indo-Pacific, and the vision of ASEAN post-2025. The Roundtable will also look into different dimensions of relevance and resilience to help ASEAN steer its way forward in an increasingly uncertain world.

We are honoured to have H.E. Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore’s Foreign Minister as our Keynote Speaker at the ASEAN Roundtable among many notable personalities who will participate in the discussion. Details can be found in the attached Programme.

This year’s ASEAN Roundtable, supported by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, is a hybrid event organised at the Atrium Ballroom, Raffles City Convention Centre.
