Join the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute for a roundtable featuring Leo Suryadinata, Visiting Senior Fellow at ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute; Peter Chang, Research Associate at the Institute of China Studies, University of Malaya; Kornphanat Tungkeunkunt, Assistant Professor of History at the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University; and Teresita Ang See, Visiting Fellow at ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute. This roundtable will focus on ethnic Chinese communities and the complexities of ethnic Chinese identity in Southeast Asia.
About the Speakers:
Leo Suryadinata is a Visiting Senior Fellow at ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute and a Professor (Adjunct) at S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University. He is also a former Professor of Political Science at the National University of Singapore.
Peter Chang is a Research Associate at the Institute of China Studies, University of Malaya, and a Visiting Senior Fellow at ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute.
Kornphanat Tungkeunkunt is a Thai-Chinese Assistant Professor of History at the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University and an Associate Fellow at ISEAS–Yusof Ishak Institute.
Teresita Ang See is a Visiting Fellow at ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, an academic, writer and social activist. She is the founder of Kaisa Para Sa Kaunlaran and a former President of the Philippine Association for Chinese Studies.
